    Abstract:

The interference of HVDC grounding electrode discharge on the pipeline may lead to the discharge of impulse line or the burning through of insulation sleeve, the destruction of cathodic protection equipment and surge protection device, and the threat of high voltage to the safety of operators.According to identified risk of pipeline and valve chamber, the safety boundary conditions of equipment and facilities of valve chamber in HVDC influence area have been integrated and the relief target of valve chamber is defined.Meanwhile, corresponding measures for effective prevention and risk control of valve chamber have been worked out, including: optimize the installation position and quantity of insulation sleeve from the process, adopt the integral insulation joint with strong tolerance, voltage limiting equipotential connection protection, adopt zinc clad steel grounding electrode, pipeline current drainage using zinc strip, etc, which can put the valve chamber with HVDC under effective control.
