    Research on migration law of natural energy development interface in gas cap edge water narrow oil ring reservoir

    Abstract:

    JZ-X reservoir is a sandstone reservoir featuring large cap, narrow oil ring, and weak edge water. After the exploitation of natural energy enters the later stage of development, gas channeling affects the oil production of a single well increasingly. In response to this issue, a visual two-dimensional physical simulation experimental device was established based on the principles of geometric similarity, physical property similarity and production dynamic similarity, and related experiments were carried out. The experimental results show that as the pressure of the reservoir decreases, gas intrudes into the oil ring along the top, and the oil-gas interface has a significant downward movement, while the oil-water interface migration is not obvious. On this basis, using the established oil and gas interface migration distance calculation method, the results of calculating the oil and gas interface migration of the I oil group in the 3 well blocks of JZ-X oil field show that the use of oil and gas production methods is conducive to the efficient and reasonable development of this type of oil reservoir. The study provides reference for the development of gas cap edge water reservoir of the same nature.
