    Abstract:

In the process of developing the reef tuff reservoir using horizontal wells, there is an issue of rapid water content rise and poor development effect, especially when the reservoir has sufficient bottom water energy and highly developed fractures. After analyzing the adaptability and application effect of the existing water control process, this study has developed an adaptive water control technology. The technology includes the use of the developed filling pipe column to achieve fracture supersaturated filling, the selection of selective water control particles to seal the annulus between the horizontal wellbore and borehole, and the use of AICD (Automatic Inflow Control Device) water control tool to achieve adaptive water control in horizontal well segments. An optimized design scheme for water control tools is developed and field experiments are conducted using numerical simulation software. The field experiments demonstrate a significant water control effect. This water control technology provides valuable reference for the efficient development of fractured bottom-water reservoirs.
