    Abstract:

To ensure the design rationality of the cold insulation structure for double metal wall full containment LNG tank, temperature field analysis and calculation are imperative. This study focuses on the example of a 29 000 m3 double metal wall full containment LNG tank constructed in a specific project, using finite element theory for the temperature field calculation and analysis. By comparing the calculation results of heat leakage, excluding the influence of the grid quantity and boundary conditions on the model, this study verifies the cold insulation structure effectiveness under operational conditions and the thermal corner protection stability under accidental scenarios for the double metal wall full containment LNG tank. The study further parameterizes the temperature field command flow following the modeling, boundary condition loading, solution, and result post-processing framework. This approach facilitates the parametric design of temperature field for double metal wall full containment LNG tank, enhancing the efficiency of analysis and calculation, and offers insights and guidance into the design of cold insulation structure for these tanks.
