    Abstract:

Regional cathodic protection plays a crucial role in corrosion control within oil and gas stations., However, due to the complexity of the cathodic protection system in oil and gas station areas, the operation and maintenance of traditional regional cathodic protection system has shortcomings such as high labor costs, uneven competencies of operators, poor data accuracy, and weak data traceability. With the advancement of information and artificial intelligency technology, intelligent control technology is gradually being applied in regional cathodic protection. This paper analyzes the characteristics and failure causes of cathodic protection systems in oil and gas station areas, discusses the classification and main components of intelligent control technology for the regional cathodic protection, and summarizes the actual application status and existing issues of intelligent control technology in cathodic protection within oil and gas station. It also highlights the future development direction and key considerations for practical application of intelligent control systems in cathodic protection within oil and gas station. The research results provide new ideas for the application of cathodic protection in oil and gas station areas.
