    Application of Vortex Temperature Separation Technology in Natural Gas Industry

    Abstract:The vortex tube,also known as "Ranque-Hilsch vortex tube",is a very simple mechanical device,which can separate the compressed air into hot and cold streams,with such characteristics as simple configuration,broad range of operating parameters,no movable part,maintenance free,long service life,good circumstance adaptation ability,stabilization and reliability,energy-saving,safety and environment-protection.Studied mainly are the heating efficiency of vortex effect in natural gas transmission and distribution industry and the value of its popularization and application in other industrial fields.Analyzed are vortex temperature separation characteristics and the advantage of vortex heating.It is pointed out that vortex separation technology has extensive application prospects in natural gas industry due to distinctive competitive advantage.
