Abstract:Applied are electrochemical technology and electron microscopy imaging method to conduct study on CO2 corrosion of Cl- with different concentrations on 316L stainless steel in normal temperature and pressure conditions and conduct laboratory experiments to study effect of chloride ion concentration increase on corrosion behavior of 316L stainless steel. Experimental results suggest that in experimental temperature and pressure conditions, overall corrosion rate of 316L stainless steel is not high, but local corrosion is serious, its overall corrosion rate will increase slightly and pitting potential will decrease in case of chloride ion concentration increase, which will result in serious pitting corrosion.
