    Abstract：In order to make full use of existing chemical workshops and supporting production equipment, shorten the construction cycle and meet requirements of new technical improvement, reconstruction and strengthening of the existing workshops are urgent subject faced by many designers. Through a project case, introduced are reconstruction and strengthening of the workshops by using carbon fiber sheet and outside sticking steel reinforcement method. Due to high strength and good ductility of carbon fiber sheet, and good flexural behavior of outside sticking steel, original component section resistance can be improved effectively and local reconstruction and loading requirements can be met fully, which can obtain good social and economic benefits and provide valuable reference for solving future similar problems.
