    Abstract:

At present, pipeline safety performance has been considered thought to be the most important issue for long-distance gas pipeline along with rapid development of gas pipeline construction. Safety assessment and mechanical analysis of buried pipeline can provide very important reference for pipeline design and normal operation. Interaction between pipeline and soil may cause natural anchorage in some segments of a pipeline and it is necessary to conduct analysis and study on distribution characteristics of such natural anchorage. Analyzed is the restraint way of soil to buried pipeline based on soil displacement and stress variation characteristics. Natural anchorage distribution characteristics of buried pipeline are derived according to soil friction characteristics. Applied is the stress software CAESAR to simulate natural anchorage distribution in a given working condition and analyzed and compared are the simulation results with those obtained from formula calculation. The study results can provide valuable reference for personnel engaged in pipeline design in analysis on natural anchorage distribution characteristics of buried pipeline and selection of distribution calculation method.
