    Influence of HVDC Electrode Discharge on the Instrument of Line Valve Chamber

    Abstract:

     Oil and gas transportation pipeline is the energy artery of social development and it is of momentous significance to ensure the safety of pipeline operation.According to the existing cases and experimental analysis, the influence of HVDC grounding electrode discharge on the automatic control instrument of line valve chamber of natural gas pipeline is studied.The conclusion is drawn that arc and burn-out will occur to the insulation sleeve joint under the interference of HVDC.Pressure transmitter, temperature transmitter, electronic control unit and RTU are not affected by HVDC current when grounding is good. It is suggested that the interference intensity of HVDC should be controlled from the source to ensure that the interference voltage is within the allowable range of the insulation sleeve joint,and insulation sleeve joint with better tolerance should be adopted, and the installation position should be changed to improve the risk resistance.
